Meet Our Veterinarians
Lee A. Woods, DVM
Veterinarian and Hospital Director
Dr. Woods is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, where he specialized in small animal healthcare. "I grew up loving animals and had a variety of pets—dogs, cats, even guinea pigs and goats," he says.
His commitment to animals extends throughout the community. He received an annual award from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley for his dedication to homeless animals.
Dr. Woods established Broadway Animal Hospital in 1991. The Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. In his spare time, Dr. Woods enjoys skiing, traveling and sports.
Aya Alt, DVM
We are so pleased with the addition of Dr. Aya Alt to our veterinary team! Originally from New York City and a graduate of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Alt previously worked in a rural mixed animal practice in upstate New York. There, she worked on everything from dogs and cats, to horses and alpacas. Dr. Alt has a special interest in dentistry and surgery, as well as providing low-stress visits for all of her feline and canine patients.
In her free time she enjoys rock and ice climbing, fly- fishing, hiking with her dog Rockstar, and wishing the people of Boulder a Happy Thursday from her cruiser bike. In addition to her dog, she also has two cats, Martin Buber and Jimmy Bean, and Davey the 28 year old ringneck dove.
Dr. Alt and our veterinary staff look forward to seeing you and your pets in the future! If you would like to contact Dr Alt, her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org or you may call the practice at 303-499-5505.
Guru "Bibi" Khalsa, DVM
Dr. Bibi Khalsa graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 where she graduated at the top of her class, specializing in small animal medicine. Her background cultivated a passion for animals as she grew up in upstate New York on a family farm with a wide variety of small, large, and exotic animals. Dr. Khalsa, born in the U.S., chose to go to high school abroad in India, which provided her with a unique global perspective on animal health.
Dr. Khalsa’s special interests in the field of veterinary medicine include radiology, internal medicine, and preventative medicine. When Dr. Khalsa is not caring for your ‘fur kids,’ she enjoys being active in the outdoors. She is an avid hiker, biker, skier, and soccer player. Her dog Wilbur, a long-haired Chihuahua, may be small but he is an exceptional hiking partner and loves joining in on all the outdoor fun. She is thrilled to have joined the Broadway Animal team and to explore the adventures Colorado has to offer.
If you would like to contact Dr. Khalsa, her email address is email@example.com or you may call the practice at 303-499-5505.
